OUR MODEL

Deep Roots awards scholarships to talented but financially needy youth in developing countries. At least 2/3 of our scholarships go to girls and women.

What makes us different is how we do it. While the average not-for-profit organization takes about 25% of each contribution to cover its overhead, we promise 90 to 95% of every dollar donated goes directly to our scholarship programs.

We can do this because we are a 100% virtual, completely volunteer-run organization. We have no office, assets or overhead, just this site, dedicated volunteers, and generous donors.

Deep Roots believes that if YOU know others need your assistance, and know that you can help - without lining anyone's pockets or building up any intermediate organization - then you will do as much as you can.
